Kindergarten News. October 3 - 6

This week in kindergarten we added in a cash register to our Tim Horton's restaurant.  We started using play money to pay for our restaurant items.  We built structures with foam blocks, built towers and boxes with our magnets at the light table, made playdoh shapes, drew on the SmartBoard, drew pictures on the easel, at the art table and on the white board on the classroom door.

Our Stations this week :

1)  I can draw something that begins with the letter "Cc" in my art journal

2) I can sort objects by shape, size and/or colour

.

3) I can practice printing the letter "Cc"

4) I can use bingo daubers to copy and learn the letters in my name

5) I can practice my fine motor skills when I lace pictures.

In Physical education and wellness this week we continued using balls to bounce, throw and catch and run and kick.

In music this week Ms. Dafoe taught us the song Ten Red Apples and we changed it to Ten Yellow Bananas.  She read us a story and we acted it out.  It was about apples and the wind blowing so hard the apples fell to the ground.  She also brought leaves for us to practice fluttering to the ground with gentle wind using our hands.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
